之前很多项目都是直接从SVN或git中导出到IntelliJ IDEA中，如果先在IDE中创建项目，可以采用下面步骤将其加入到版本控制工具中，这里以Subversion为例：
启用项目的版本控制
依次点击 "VCS" - "Enable Version Control Integration..." 菜单，
在打开的对话框中选择版本控制的类型：
将项目加入到版本控制中
在项目的根目录下右键，依次选择 "Subversin" - "Share Directory ..."
在对话框中选择对应的SVN地址，如果没有的话可以点击+进行创建：
点击"Share" 按钮之后选择Subversion的版本，然后点击 "OK" 按钮。
PS：如果Share Directory菜单项是灰色的话，可以进入 Preferences - Version Control，然后编辑项目，将其中的项目修改为目录即可。
加入指定的文件并提交
首先在项目中选中多个需要加入的文件，然后点击右键 "Subversion" - "Add to VCS"，这样就将文件加入到了版本控制系统里面。
最后一步就是将文件提交到服务器中，在项目的根目录上右键，依次选择 "Subversion" - "Commit Directory ..."
然后检查选中的文件，最后点击下面的 "Commit" 按钮即可。
也可以在下面的 "Version Control" 视图框中右键 Default，然后选择 "Commit..."进行提交。

如何将项目禁用svn/git
依次打开 Preferences - Version Control，在右侧选中项目，然后点击下面的-号即可：
如何将指定的文件或目录设置为忽略
只有文件没有被加入到svn/git的情况下，才可以将其设置为忽略（ignore），但如果已经加入到VCS的话怎样设置为忽略呢？首选需要将其从VCS中删除，方法如下：
# svn
# 在项目的根目录下操作
# remove file from svn repository
svn rm --keep-local path/to/directry/or/file.example
# view status
svn status
# 确保在项目的根目录下，设置svn:ignore
svn propset svn:ignore path/to/directry/or/file.example .
执行svn propset svn:ignore命令的时候需要首先进入文件或目录的父目录下，然后再执行。
git的方式如下：
# remove file from git repository
git rm --cached path/to/directry/or/file.example
# update your gitignore file to ignore this folder
echo 'path/to/directry/or/file.example' >> .gitignore
# add the .gitignore file
git add .gitignoregit只要将忽略文件的路径加入到 .gitignore 文件就可以了，相对来说比较简单。
